Foundations in Manufacturing
1960s - 1970s
The group’s origins trace back to founder Noor Nordin, who began in the beverage and industrial manufacturing sectors, developing deep expertise in large-scale production and operational excellence.
First Major Venture – Metacorp Group
1981
Noor Nordin acquired and transformed UMW Lysaght into Metacorp Sdn Bhd, establishing a leading position in zinc-based chemicals and industrial process chemicals.
Entry into Filtration – Filtermation is born
1994
Formation of Filtermation Sdn Bhd, specialising in string-wound filter cartridges and laying the groundwork for future diversification.
Strategic Expansion –Acquisition of Polyaire
1996
Acquisition of Polyaire Holdings expanded the group into HVAC distribution across Australia, while Filtermation transitioned to a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Malaysia.
Growth Through R&D and Market Leadership
2000s–2010s
Polyaire became Australia’s largest private HVAC distributor. Manufacturing operations in Malaysia scaled significantly, supported by R&D and the introduction of smart home technologies.
Regional Manufacturing Powerhouse
2020–2024
The group became Southeast Asia’s largest manufacturer of HVAC flexible duct and filtration products, with over 25,000 m²of factory space and 650 employees across the group. Launch of Airdroitech advanced IoT innovation in HVAC.
Scaling for Global Growth
2025 and Beyond
With second-generation leadership from members of the Nordin family, the group is positioned to scale its integrated model of manufacturing, R&D, and technology-driven solutions across Asia and into other key global markets.
